Gifted Bird Dogs for Experienced Hunters
Sandwynn's Storm Treasure, RN is co-owned by Amanda Rizner and Diane Ellis.
When we decided we needed another Corgi, the source was simple.  Amanda had been taking obedience and agility classes with one of the top corgi breeders in the area, Diane Ellis.  So we handed her a deposit for a litter that Dianne didn't know when it would come or who the sire would be.  We didn't care.  We knew Diane was producing top Corgis and we wanted a girl.  Diane wasn't going to pick some slob for a sire, and nature determines when dogs come into heat.

It was a good thing we put that deposit down about nine months early as there were only two girls, and Diane was taking her pick of them.

Iris has been in the show ring, and is campaigning in AKC performance events.  Click here for the latest news on her progress.  She is doing well and we expect her to reach high levels in obedience, agility and the show ring.

We have done every health screen we think is necessary.  Her hips are among the tightest in the Pembroke Welsh Corgi breed.  They are in the 100th percentile.  Her CERF eye exam is clear -- her eyes are free of defects.  We have had her tested for genetic defects and she is von Willebrands disease free.  She is a carrier of the "fluff factor" gene.  This means if we cross her with another "fluff factor" dog, some of the pups would have coats that are undesirable in the breed ring.  It has no impact on her health or the health of her offpsring.  We will simply breed her wisely.
