This design is a shed. Maybe I'll get fancy and specify interior materials and do real drawings some day.
Of Peas and Pups Dog breeding, written about Shorthairs in the 1960's. The concepts are valuable for any breed, and no recent discovery about genetics has changed the value of this paper at all.	NAVHDA for Newbies by Bill Tarrant 1974 Field & Stream Article. Don't take my word for it. Bill thought NAVHDA was great.

Books:

The Complete German Shorthaired Pointer
By Herr H. F. Seiger and Dr. F. von Dewitz-Colpin
Out of Print. Hardcover book, 1951 Denlinger. A wonderful and very hard-to-find breed book, illustrated with B&W photographs, 464 pages. This is the first English Language book on the GSP. All other GSP books borrow heavily (or steal outright) from this book. It's required reading to understand where we've come from and even the concepts behind NAVHDA's testing. The Complete German Shorthaired Pointer is becoming very difficult to locate, and I am even searching foreign countries for additional copies.

The Care and Training of the Versatile Hunting Dog. It's the NAVHDA "Green Book" and I recommend it.

World Pedigrees
This is the most extensive German Shorthaired Pointer Pedigree and it is searchable on-line. It's about twice the size of mine.

I have collected over 18,250 GSP's in my pedigree and seem to have more American and modern dogs than World Pedigrees. If you are researching a pedigree and World Pedigrees doesn't have it, let me know.
